About Me
I began breeding finches full time 15 years ago. I have a wide variety of both Australian & African species. My interests range from the common to the rare and hard to find species. In the last few years my interests have extended to include softbills - currently the Violet Euphonia.

My aviary located on Long Island, New York is a closed one and all of our birds have gone through proper quarantine and testing as necessary. I am very careful and take great pride in the birds that I breed.

I keep meticulous records and all of our birds are closed year banded whenever possible.

I maintain a state of the art modern facility and have a Certificate of Compliance with the Model Aviculture Program.

My finches are housed in either flight cages or large stackables. The stackables usually have only one breeding pair in them. They are fed assorted  finch seed, spray millet, sprouted seeds, greens, apples, small meal worms, white worms, wax worms, crickets, Egg Food, and a custom corn bread mixture that we prepare. It has chopped fruits, veggies, egg shells, wheat germ, and Bevo Universal Food (dried bugs) in it. Additional vitamin/mineral supplements are available at all times. They are given bowls of water regularly to bathe. Our aviary is cleaned on a daily basis.

In 2001, We added a new addition to our home - a our daughter named Natalie.  I have had to cut back on the amount of birds I have and breed because I am busy being a mom. I am still breeding but on a  limited basis.
